Tokio Hotel in my life...

I was cut off from my blogging for a long time..due to work, stress yada yada yada.....
and now i'm back..
looking back on my blog, i see i was obssessed with My Chemical Romance at that time, now I realize, i'm obsessed with Tokio Hotel. Oh you know, the German rock band that suddenly got the hype when they performed at the EMA's in 2007 and got the rain pouring down on them for the song Monsoon? well that's the band i'm crazy about at the moment.

                                          TOKIO HOTEL

Just as an introduction, the band consists of Bill Kaulitz (vocalist), lead guitarist which is Bill's twin brother, Tom Kaulitz, bassist Georg Listing and drummer Gustav Shafer.

I got the chance to see the band Live in Malaysia on the 1st of May 2010 with my little brother and sister. It was a real adventure for us. Since the concert was to be at Kuala Lumpur and we stayed in Ipoh, we had to take a train to KL, which means we had to take the night train and spend the night at KL Central. We reached KL around midnight, so there were only a few people at KL central when we arrived. We just sat and talked about Tokio Hotel in the wee hours of the morning.

When the sun came up, and the trains started to move in the morning, we took one all the way to Kelana Jaya. And then we had to take a Rapid KL bus to One Utama Mall, where the concert was to be held.

The concert only starts in the evening, but the autograph session was scheduled in the morning. We had to wait in line, where we met and befriended other Tokio Hotel fans.

There were two girls who had miniature dolls that looked like Bill and Tom Kaulitz. They had it specially made in Hong Kong.

The crowd started to get restless when it was already noon and Tokio Hotel still haven't showed up. When the band finally came onstage, everyone went crazy and started screaming. My little sis got the chance to go onstage to get their autograph as we had to have their cd to go onstage, and my sis had it, so we(my brother and I) gave her the chance.

It was a good thing too as they had obligingly signed a drawing i made of them too. I am still keeping this drawing somewhere safe.

Since the concert was only to start in the evening, we quickly ran to the concert entrance and sat out there. We were out there for like hours in the blazing hot sun. And at one point about two hours before the concert, some fans from the back started to stand up and push those in front. Imagine claustrophobia, being sandwiched in between other humans. Boy, was that an experience or what. Being the drama queen that I am, I felt like I couldn't breathe, and I felt like I was going to die. I almost gave up on the concert.

But thankfully when they finally let us in. I was out of the claustrophobic state, but I was already deprived of sleep and  liquid, as we were heating in the sun and couldn't go out of the crowd to get anything to drink. I had to leave the concert area to get a drink, and food. By the time i came back, the concert opening act was performing. I thank the heavens that i didnt miss Tokio Hotel. They were awesome as the came onstage.

Bill had an amazing voice. It was so powerful ,it gave me goosebumps listening to him. I couldn't believe that I was finally seeing them onstage.

When the concert was over, i felt drained out of my energy, because I literally didn't sleep for 24 hours. Our parents came to fetch us at One Utama Mall. That was the greatest experience i had. Although i almost passed out, suffered claustrophobia, got burned in the sun, and lost my money in the crowd, it was all forgotten once I saw them on stage.
