Rain and Sun

look at the rain falling,
like angels crying in a sad note,
up above us in the heavens,
they sob pitifully,
of sorrows which we know not,

when a lightning strikes,
it seems like the gods are furious,
they lash out their whip,
and cut a scar in the sky,

accompanying it with the roar,
a roar so loud,
we hear nothing above that,
thunderous it sounds,
we cower in fear,

but we are not to be fearful for long,
for the sun-god decides to show,
he let the thunder play long enough,
to bring everyone to their knees,
he knows that the people had been punished enough,
now its time to let them rejoice,

a ray of light bursts through the clouds,
and the people all look up,
hands above their heads,
they smile in joy,
for the light that they have been praying for.
